Who is Jennifer Williams? Did anyone vote for Jennifer Williams? Who gave Jennifer Williams the authority to decide on the appropriateness of
the president's conversation with foreign leaders? I thought that it was the POTUS who decided on the appropriateness of foreign policy, not some low level bureaucrat.

How is her testimony even relevant? We have a transcript of the call. We can read! I'm sure the democrats in the House can read as well.

Where's the proof of quid pro quo? Where's the person who Trump allegedly directed to withhold funding from Ukraine in conjunction with investigating Biden's son? Or is it all just hearsay/rumors?

We have a partial transcript rendered by the President and his minions. Career diplomats and civil servants are better suited to defining appropriateness then a has been reality TV star.

As for hearsay the Federal Rule for Evidence 803 documents the exceptions to the hearsay rule. It can be evidence.

What is important here is to remember that President Trump is not on trail. The hearings are only to determine if articles of impeachment should be sent to the Senate. The Senate holds the trail. This is similar to a grand jury hearing to decide if an accused should be charged.

If find it amazing that the Republicans are OK with Trump using his office to enrich his family business and to curry foreign governments to interfere in our elections. They claim that is not impeachable but they wanted to hang Clinton for getting a blow job.

We should replace all 100 Senators and all 435 representatives, they are worthless.

[@8129,jim44444] As I recall, Clinton not only blatantly lied to America, but also lied to Congress. Trump has never testified before congress but if he were to lie to Congress, it would be an impeachable offense.

Federal Rule for Evidence 803, okay, good argument. Albeit, that rule doesn't apply here since this is an inquiry governed by House rules and not a criminal case governed by rules of the court. Regardless, hearsay is hearsay and doesn't prove anything except what someone testify to hear from someone else. It doesn't establish material fact.

We have the transcript and there's no other evidence otherwise. Okay, I agree with your last statement. You seem like an intelligent person but here is what you are missing:

There is no evidence that Trump told anyone to withhold aid to Ukraine, quid pro quo, in exchange for an investigation into the Bidens.

If you know something I don't then please tell me:

Who, where, when, told who what?

Ambassador Kurt Volker and Timothy Morrison have both testified that they have no knowledge of president Trump making any demands about forcing Ukraine to investigate the Biden's or have aid withheld.

Democrats think if they keep making these outrageous claims people will have to believe them. The only people who buy into this are the same people who brought into the Trump-Russian election conspiracy.

I have no idea the relevance of Jennifer Williams. While the president does not have the authorization to decide on appropriateness, he did nothing wrong as per Treaty document 106-16 -- Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters signed by Bill Clinton when he was in office.
