Why do people listen to music? Why do YOU listen to music?

I listen to music for many reasons. I listen to remember times and places and people. I listen to forget the pain or loss I am feeling. I listen to music that moves me inside, to dance, to sing, to clean. Some is uplifting while others can bring a tear. I listen to some to connect with others and to show them a little more about me because music and represent a bit of who you are.

Some take me back to my days at Palisade Gardens Roller Rink, a place I played and worked. Some take me back to Smitty's Disco where danced the night away and then there are the songs that remind me of my time stationed in West Germany, the friends I made and some that are lost forever.

So I listen for every reason one can think of, even when I'm angry and trying to let it all out, constructively. Music is so much and yeah, I sing my heart out sometimes and remember being in school choir or singing to my gf at the beach.

I listen to music because it either inspires me to write, or makes me happy.

I like to listen to music when I’m alone ... singing loudly and dancing like noones watching !

When my head feels pain, I use music to ease or deafing myself from listening bad things in my head.

Music makes me happy and forget about everything for a bit

Cause I miss my younger years.

I come from a musical family and know how to play different instruments. Music brings me joy and has always been a part of my life.
