What’s an experience you had that you miss?

I remember having chickens just a few years ago. I built them a mobile coop and grazed them on fresh grass as often as I could. It for difficult on a 1/4 of an acre, but it was so satisfying I regret the day I have them all away. That coop was too heavy to lug around. But it was something I made and was proud of.

Can't imagine trying to raise chickens on a quarter acre. When I was a kid my neighbors had chickens. Was at least an acre and they chickens would always come into our yard and drive the dog crazy. The rooster was horrible, didn't like waking up at the crack of dawn to that thing.

@curiosi 😂 that’s what I miss was the rooster, that guy would attack me for no reason and would crow at 2 in the morning

@Catzgano no lawn should be a mono crop of grass, that I firmly believe, they were primarily on grass only and the soil just needed the grazing pressure from something- might as well have been chickens

@MrAboo I had a friend who had some but got rid of them after their kid got sick on an egg.
