does it bring the world good if you are interested in fashion?
what does someone being good at picking out outfits do for anyone else? I like the fields like science and technology that does help but fashion dosent change much. I hate that i like it I want to be interested in something useful. I gave it up there are so many more useful things.

You make people happier and more productive when they feel confident in their clothes.
And fashion is also artistic and inspiring to some.
It also helps bring clothes that are more durable, long lasting or able to be worn as a child grows(which is very good for the poor or those who cant afford lots of clothes for their children)
Fashion I believe does a lot to influence society and change but you wont notice it unless you look at the bigger picture.

@SW-User also specialty items like clothing for autistic children, clothing that doesn’t have a lot of lace and other things that may irritate them, and make it easier for them to get dressed.

Influence.
Maybe as you pursue your field, you can help "influence" people, especially with regards to the planet, waste, etc. If you've ever seen how much "waste" is in dumpsters from retail places, etc....OR...maybe you'll work for someone that has the money to "make a difference"...i.e. donate to a charitable cause. The path you choose has a lot of roads...

@luctoretemergo I just want to find useful things that I like and Im trying to find out what is useful about fashion. I like science but I am really bad at math, I suck at math the most out of all subjects.

@luctoretemergo oh my gosh then how did you get through the college math courses? I barley got through precalculus in high school. i only got through because i could push the right buttons on a graphing calculator.

Fashion is great to know.Good quality clothes.Not fast fashion,cheap disposable clothes.Dont forget the fashion industry is the second largest cause of worldwide pollution.

I knew a lady who taught fashion design at the university and she started a line of clothing for the handicapped, one of her last projects before she died.

find the ideal career by taking a myers briggs test(?) people interested in fashion have a distinct point of view, are thoughtful, creative, independent and care about details. you could try a career in education, medicine or the arts. good luck!
