Oh my. That's not right.

@SW-User It really annoyed me.

It does rather sound as if you are being condescended to at the very least. Its hard to know without a lot of context when to ignore the slight and maintain your dignity or ask nicely to speak to someone with more experience in business communication.

@whowasthatmaskedman There was nothing except business facts and figures in the correspondences. I did ask to speak with someone else. We shall see.
So if I chimed in with "you go girl" or "preaching to the choir sister" would that be on the same lines?

It’s not always meant to be condescending... sometimes it is just the terminology of a certain region.

@SW-User I lived in the south for many years where it was common place. But the fact remains, that terminology has no place in business.

@Tomorrow Yeah, I understand that. It would never bother me tho in any place. But that’s just me and I know I’m different. ✌🏻

Completely inappropriate in a business relationship ...

@YoungDawg66 Agreed!

wow...bit of a brain snap by someone there...

@ButterRobot Agreed. Felt like he was the stereotypical sleazy car salesman who thought I was the "little woman". Gross.

Sorry.
