If you mean football as what Americans call soccer...why not? At the worst, it's 90 minutes or so with a friend, minus whatever you do before & after.
If you mean football as what Americans call football, hell NO! Who knows how many hours of real time will be eaten by "only" 60 minutes of "game time"? Add in the half-time and you have a potentially excruciatingly horrible 3+ hours which you'll never get back.
