@SW-User not sure on the equinox. I know they're caused by solar wind reacting to the earth's magnetic field.

I could be wrong, but I just assumed from people announcing spotting the lights that time of year. At least the northern lights are more accessible than the Southern lol.Unless you want to chill with the penguins 🐧🐧🐧@Mongoheadmonster

@Mongoheadmonster my camera is no good either at night. We see the Northern Lights regularly so no need for me to take pics really.
