Did you know the US stockmarket is on schedule to have its worst December since the 1931 Great Depression?

Merry Christmas, Dirannie. Here's hoping you get something more pleasant than Schadenfreud in your stocking.

@Mamapolo2016 He is a great advert for an abortion and really good at embarrasing himself

Traditionally , the last day of trade should see a lift.. If this doesnt happen, expect more bad news at the reopening.

@whowasthatmaskedman you sound like a fortune teller lol

@KaiserSolze No. Just an observer of patterns. After a down run some businesses buy in on the last day, believing the bottom is there. Holiday closures can have the same effect. If it doesnt happen it means the negatives out weigh the positives. I dont know if its going to go up or down. I just know the most common patterns.

Yawn and it is up: Jan. 20, 2017 DJI, $19732
Dec. 18, 2018 DJI, $23675

Isolating one month's performance is sophomoric. Black Monday '1987 the DJI fell 22.6% in one day.... and the losses in Dec.'31 were twice that projected for this Dec. ....the real market crash of Black Tuesday '29 was over 25%.

@bowman81 Is mexico paying for that wall that will never get built ?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bowman81 Yes. Quite correct. Individual days or even weeks are not a guide. There are too many "Traders" in the markey now to see "valur" clearly. And it is being distorted further by Brokerage trades, which sap value out at every trade.
