For some reason, the "bleep" noise used in censoring cracks me up.

Sometimes it's even funnier than the joke without the censor.

The stupidest was bleeping dick in freakin Moby Dick

@BlueMetalChick Yeah
I’ve bookmarked this old article to highlight the ridiculous censorship

@SW-User I was on Kongregate and they censor the word "Benghazi."
Zakattack86 · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick Hey how are you? All this is hilarious :-)
Bebop · 31-35, M
it's like that with laugh tracks. Frasier would be the worst if you removed em i reckon.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Bebop I once watched an episode of "Friends" with the laugh track taken out and replaced with a closeup zoom-in on Ross's face and it was the most awkward thing ever.
Bebop · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick lol that sounds like a tim and eric scene. I just did no laugh track frasier and it was really dramatic and subtly upsetting in a way i can't quite grasp.
OfflineFriend · 22-25
I like it when is used when they are not supposed to and make it sound as if is saying something bad
Faust76 · 46-50, M
Though they've indeed done a lot of jokes on bleeping out words that aren't actual swearwords...
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Faust76 Correct. And that can be funny. But often times, the funniest part for me is just the way that the audio is randomly interrupted by an obnoxious sound effect.

This is the same reason I love "ear rape" memes.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
I've watched the same episodes of the Osbournes both censored & uncensored. The bleeped ones were funnier for sure.
I think the "bleep" noise can make something sound worse than when it's uncensored.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Existentially There's that, yeah, but then for me there's also a lot of comedy in unexpected stupid noises. Which is why "ear rape" memes make me laugh so hard. Here, this is a good example (noise warning: it gets very loud around 0:13)

I think it's bleeping ridiculous. Like when people say fricking instead of bleeping. Its not like nobody knows what the bleep they're bleeping talking about.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Ever watch This Week In Unnecessary Censorship on Jimmy Kimmel? You'll wet your pants. And not for an SW reason.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick Oh, I've seen that one. Gold.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Xuan12 It's the way the music stops abruptly and is replaced by a loud obnoxious noise 😂
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick 😂 LMFAO Make it stop!!!
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I've had to censor things on TV shows, and I made sure to keep as much of the "sh" and "t" sounds as I could lol.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I love the Family Guy episode where they censor real life.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@uncalled4 I was just thinking that!
