Do you ever feel like nothing you do matters?

1455spd · 31-35, M
Most of the time. But I do feel like there's a lot of power in my interactions with people given how difficult and alienating life can be. I try to leave a positive impact if I can, and maybe that helps another person get through the day. It might not change the world, but it can matter at least in part to another person

Yes and objectively in the grand scheme of everything it doesn't. Oh well. 🙁

Yes. Like for example, losing weight in order to become better looking and healthier. I lost almost 50 lbs and still wanna lose more weight. But regardless, girls will never want me. I won't ever find love, so the only point of me doing this now at this point is so I can be healthier.

I know that if I wasn't around, I'd hurt alot of people I care for.

@Allelse I know that's true, but still it's like nothing feels real.

@Jj2k00 Try having a malfunctioning temporal lobe, believe me, nothing'll feel as truly real as when it was functioning.
I used to, now I dont care if what I do matters or not, it only matters weather I enjoy my life.

I’ve definitely felt that on occasion.
