Weird job interview today. Is it a bust?

So I’m working with a recruiter.. they found me a great job for a position that I’m currently doing.. so odd.. I was 30 minutes exactly into what I though was a GREAT interview and the employer said they couldn’t hear me and the call dropped. I called back, no answer, she sends me an email saying oh no! We must’ve gotten disconnected, I’m super busy but would love to reconnect at a different time after 4:30. I said let’s do 5. Sent meeting request, she confirmed and then at 5 absolutely nothing.. this is for a high level position and I’ve got the experience.. so I’m trying not to read TOO much into it but geeze.. I called and emailed.. just like she totally forgot. If I were interviewing candidates and I had one I really liked, but had something pop up I would’ve just sent an email saying hey something came up let’s reschedule for tomorrow. All of this is really odd to me.. Am I overeading the situation? Or is my sniffer on track?

What you are receiving from this experience, is great 'information' about this company!

You are learning more about the company whom you are trying to work for, than they actually know about you!

Consider this episode with the recruiter a blessing in disguise. If this recruiter is who the company would actually hire, then would you really want to work for a company that engages with personnel in this fashion?

If this is standard protocol for the company in question, would you really want to engage with this company for any reason at all, let alone potential employment?

I can tell you one thing for sure and that is, if YOU were the one responding (or not responding) in the same fashion as your potential employer is acting, would you really expect that employer to hire you? They would be the first one's to send you packing, believe me!

All of this is a 'sign' for you. What you do with the information is really what your question should be!

Doesn't sound professional at all. Probably a great clue.

Sounds a bit odd to me as well

@Brassm0nk3y is that that interview that was with a competitor?
Brassm0nk3y · 36-40, F
@SW-User Lol no, it was a different company. I never heard a word back from that competitor. Oh well. What do you do I guess. :) thanks for all the advice and being so kind

@Brassm0nk3y you bet... take each of these interview experiences as wisdom with future ones

IDk, it sounds weird for back in the day but who knows anymore. I'd keep looking.
