Is there any obvious thing you had never realised before until someone told you?

Everyone told me she doesn't want me I didn't listen.
She likes me as a friend and nothing more but didn't tell me cuz it will upset me.

Guess what? Now I am embarrassed and feel like a fool and I am upset
