No. No they aren't. However, the powers that be at any given time often use that rhetoric to discredit movements of change. Just now with social media they can carefully craft their statements to hit home with less educated.

Any ideology that says it is time to put down the pen and pickup a weapon is the enemy of peaceful dialogue. But the tricky thing is that if an enemy picks up a weapon, you will need to as well. The difference is whether your side wants a return to peace or annihilation of the other side.
