The NHS is celebrating its 70th Anniversary today.

It's not perfect but we are very fortunate to have it when compared to countries that don't have something similar

@Brenda My mum and dad were sent to a childrens home during world war 2 while the queen and the rest of her fascist nazi regime were doing Nazi salutes in the grounds of buckingham palace its ok if you dont want to forgive me for that i aint and never will be a royalist

@TJNewton spent time in a carehome myself, not during the war, The Queen was in the Land Army if I remember right, The Queen Mother stayed in London,

Have no idea what the NHS is but we do have the NFL which no other country but the U.S has.

@TJNewton He said that he averted a nuclear war yesterday. I'm not sure a nuclear war was not going to happen but he does make crazy claims.

@TJNewton The amazing power of Donald Trump. Even in a discussion about the UK's notoriously inefficient health system (poorest life outcome of 18 developed countries), Trump Derangement Syndrome still rears it's risible head.
TJNewton · M
@MaryWat Yet another brainwashed delusional dumbfuck trump supporter please keep believing the lie's that dumbfuck keeps telling you on a daily basis
Oh and congratulations on your dumbfuck leader's tarriffs no country in the world will trade with you as you have no leverage and no credibilty in the world enjoy your mass unemployment and recession depression
firefall · 61-69, M
you really are. Moving from the UK to the US was an enormous and very rude shock, in regards health care
notsure · 56-60, M
I was cancelled twice but complain really as would not still be here if it were not for the NHS
notsure · 56-60, M
@Brenda I'm all better now thankyou had 7 ops over 2 years 1 week in ITU in a coma so I can do nothing but sing their praises for what they do when underfunded and understaffed.
Brenda · 61-69, F
@notsure not appreciated enough, I doubt there is anyone in Britain that doesn't owe there existence in some way to the NHS in someway over the last 70 years
notsure · 56-60, M
@Brenda very true they do wonderful with what they have
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
have to keep fighting for it though.
MP's are watching U.S. Congress and Representatives make a fortune from shares in private healthcare companies and many of them here would like to see it go the same way.
Brenda · 61-69, F
your right it's not perfect, it was perfect when Nye Bevan opened it up, But as usual with Britain if it's perfect Destroy it, Thank God the General Public realise it's worth fighting for
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Congrats! Your ancestors didn't buy the lies about how healthcare is a privilege.
Brenda · 61-69, F
So True. And they've provided a great service in this neck of the woods in the last week.
TJNewton · M
