Why do people tell you when you snore, but it's always a surprise to them when you tell them they do?

@ramgopal but like why? I under stand how your voice sounds different to yourself than to others. But how can you not hear yourself snore? Especially if you hear others...

When you wake up you stop snoring soni don't think you are able to hear it unless someone records it and shows it to you
