This is mainly for parents bit anyone feel free to answer

Is your children getting shot at school that high on your list of worries?
They are horrible when they happen but if you count every elementary, secondary and college/University in the U.S. there must be something like 150,000 schools. For the size of the population and the amount of firearms that are available school shootings are actually an extremely rare occurrence your child has A MUCH higher risk of dying by flu, car accidents and probably accidental overdoses of vitamin C.

Not my children, who are all grown, but yes there is such a fear for my grand children, but not just at school. I am very worried about the violence in our communities and the easy access people seem to have to weapons of mass destruction, as in automatic weapons!

We can never know the future but anything can happen. That being said I dont think its as likely in their school.
