(A response to Amazon taking over markets)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Eventually when enough people get burnt by Amazon (employees especially) they'll boycott them and there you go. Happening to Walmart, because they don't treat employees right and have a high turnover always hiring, training and then having to hire more. .

Many companies in todays world overwork and underpay... it's really shame...
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
They say within 20 years 80 to 90% of all jobs in the US will be automated. Laborers, managers, drivers, customer service reps, etc. will all be unemployed. The only employable people will be those who design new robots and programs to take jobs and those who maintain them.
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
@Zaphod42 There will be great resistance when that time comes. Maximum division of classes. Gonna get real ugly.

Technotyrants, the overlords of the convenience generation who know nothing about personal liberty.
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
@therighttothink50 Or personal responsibility. Its all on someone or something else. Its sad really.

@VolpeTredici Victmhood and virtue signaling go hand in hand. It creates slaves.

@therighttothink50 Refreshing to find people who see it.

I worked for Amazon. It is their intent to dominate and control the retail market to the fullest extent possible.

And like all labor, it is easily replaced with robots.

+ once they have control over the market they can regulate exactly what is going to be bought and they can set the prices however they like. Even then, Amazon is not going to take over the market.
