No. Lots of Americans go overseas and volunteer in various programs, such as the Peace Corps and other programs. They give money and various forms of aid to countries in need, expecting no reward except for the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped someone.
I can't necessarily speak for the majority of Americans, but I know that many are good and are very underappreciated. I wonder what would happen if Americans stopped doing that. Would they remember what we had done in the past and maybe stop taking us for granted? Or would they take any notice at all?
Sadly, I think a lot of people in other parts of the world seem to base their opinion of America, and Americans especially, on what they see on TV. TV shows portray Americans as shallow, self-centered people who live lavish lifestyles, are very immoral, and have lives that are full of drama, like soap operas. How many of these people have actually visited America and seen the struggles that many of us actually go through in our daily lives? How many of them actually know any real Americans personally?

@romell That has (hopefully) helped, though what we actually learn about people here, and on other social media sites, is limited to what people choose to share.

If it was then Americans would not be the the people who contribute the most to foreign relief, but we have been for decades.

You know there are like 300 million Americans? People are people wherever they're from.
SWisGoingWoke · M
Nope. Can't speak for everyone, but I don't know anyone who feels like that.
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
I believe that is how the rest of the world feels about America, actually.

Not me.

Not all but many, particularly the ignorant ones starting with their president.

Yes. But not all of them.

@romell not a lot we can do. We're stuck with him until the next election, and if I want to criticize that fat bastard, I will.

@romell THAT'S exactly is the problem.
And although I am no American I have informed myself very well about being a POTUS.
I think the ACTUALLY problem lays in the American political system. It is built like this that the POTUS has a lot of might. TOO MUCH might!!
It seems very difficult - almost impossible - to impeach the POTUS. Certainly the American system is good when there's a good POTUS. But when there's a bad one who MISUSE his might like the current one, I even think there's a danger to change the Republic in a dictatorship or something similar like this. 😕
