What is net neutrality?馃槵

SW-User
The idea that ISP companies cannot throttle or charge extra for access to certain sites based on who they're friendly with.
@SW-User This. But some dumb fucker in the USA is trying to get rid of it.

A way for the government to interfere with private business.
@TheProphet I am now glad net neautrality is being eliminated ... at the time, I did not realize how okay people were with violating the law of supply and demand for resource allocation.

If we kept it, they might change the law of gravity next.

Net neutrality is a concept that the internet is free for anyone to use at anytime they want. Without Net Neutrality laws, large companies like Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner/Spectrum could block, slow down or charge extra money just to watch sites like YouTube. ISP's can block sites they don't like and censor people. Only the large cable companies benefit from this. You, me and the average American have to pay more money just to email a friend or family member. Please sign any petition you encounter that support Net Neutrality. The internet should always be free and open.

Its basically a scam to get more money out of you. But Dan said it best
It is about cheap freeloaders ... globalists
In a nutshell:
"Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers must treat all data on the Internet the same, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or method of communication. For instance, under these principles, internet service providers are unable to intentionally block, slow down or charge money for specific websites and online content."
