You need iron infusions if it's really bad. It's done in hospital.

@SW-User I have Nature Measure iron pills. You can get it at Walmart. Also get some Ensure Shakes it has all the Vitamins from A-Z and plenty of iron. Vitamin C helps absorb iron better also.

Best to see several specialists and read the journals of new discoveries. Don't trust amateur quacks on some low class social site.

Iron supplements? However, if it's that bad I'd go to the hospital...
SW-User
@SW-User I did ofcourse blood tests more blood tests they did prescribe iron pills... But is there anything else?
SW-User
@SW-User I'd research ways to help you absorb the iron better. They should have given you some of that information. It's not just about consumption, but absorbtion. However, I'm pretty ignorant on the topic sadly. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
iron. But see your doctor first.
SW-User
@JustLikeGreta i did. anything else besides pills?
@SW-User Best to see a hematolgist. I have exteme anemia and am not allowed iron, except by transfusions.
SW-User
what does your doctor advise?
SW-User
iron pills. Thats all they give. Is there alternative to just popping 5 iron pills a day ?@SW-User

My Mom had this issue for a while and had to have transfusions. The doctors finally discovered after many imaging tests/scopes that she was losing blood from a small area in her bowels.. Might ask your doc about a colonoscopy and endoscopy to be sure...

Not so easy with Iron as there two types and you may have problems in absorbing it . It may be safer with herbs https://www.herbazest.com/wellness_articles/5_herbs_to_help_you_recover_from_anemia

Anecdotal evidence would suggest a pint of Guinness or two.

Proper evidence would suggest going to a doctor and asking them for advice. They know more than any of us do....

@Mk8155 transfusion...thanks a lot. I am talking about something more realistic
When I was anemic I received iron via supplements and occasional shots (ugh) and I also was recommended certain foods to eat.
