Do you think you have a nice voice? Speaking not singing. Is it low or high pitched?

Windsylph · F Best Comment
Yes. Nice enough. Mine is a medium pitch with low undertones. I did some voice work years ago but it was truly grueling and very hard on the voice. And in truth, I probably wasn't the end all/be all in this line of work LOL.
Zoranna · F
@Windsylph I think you'd sound lovely. After all that voice training you're bound to sound gorgeous. :-)
Windsylph · F
@Zoranna Aw hon, thanks for best answer but even more, thanks for being you. Cheesy, I know, but it is heartfelt 😎❤️
Zoranna · F
@Windsylph You're very welcome. Not cheesy at all, you've made my night. Have a lovely day. 🤗

@Zoranna the science....

What makes a recording of our voice sound so different... and awful? It’s because when you speak you hear your own voice in two different ways.

The first is through vibrating sound waves hitting your ear drum, the way other people hear your voice. The second way is through vibrations inside your skull set off by your vocal chords. Those vibrations travel up through your bony skull and again set the ear drum vibrating. However as they travel through the bone they spread out and lower in pitch, giving you a false sense of bass. Then when you hear a recording of your voice, it sounds distinctly higher.
Zoranna · F
@Annab Thanks for that. I'll keep it all in mind next time I have to make a speech. 😉

I do have a nice speaking voice, kind of low pitched and rumbly. Plenty of volume, don't need a mic to heard in the back of the room!
Zoranna · F
@GerOttman Handy for Master of Service duties then. lol Sounds good. :-)

uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I was briefly in radio, so it's medium-low. I can make it deep without sounding contrived.
Zoranna · F
@uncalled4 Sounds ideal, I like the sound of that. Pun intended. :-)
