What would you do if your girlfriend mentions marriage although you've only been dating 8 months?

i think it does with the right person. seen it many times. just have to have the right foundations in the relationship. have to genuinely care for each other.

If you are with a girl for 8 months and the topic of marriage comes up, I'd say that's normal.

If you don't want to get married, that's fine, however, many people do.

I'm not saying you should get married after 8 months, but after 8 months, if one person wants to get married, eventually, and the other doesn't, it's time to reevaluate the relationship.

She obviously, doesn't want to be strung around for a couple years with no hope of marriage. However, waiting a couple years for eventual marriage, I'd say is fair.

Remember, as a woman, time is NOT on her side.

It does if you work really hard at maintaining the relationship and put your partner before yourself. But love by itself, despite what country music says, is not enough. Sorry if I sound cynical.
