i can't get past my ex

it's been 4 years since we dated
we dated 4 years
im engaged but not really moved on - ive only accepted for 4 long years he doesn't want a reunion. how can i let it go and forget it so i can be happy?

Some things are not meant to be. Just accept that. If he has said he doesn't want a reunion, then you will have to accept it even if you don't like it.

Do not force yourself to date or get engaged if your thoughts keep returning to him; move on emotionally before you have another serious relationship.

Closure is overrated. Just learn to live with it, like all the other things you don't like but have to live with (allergies, traffic jams, wasp nests, clogged drains, bad haircuts, funerals, etc.)

Sometimes, in situations like this, it turns out so much better than you think it will. There may come a day when you'll be glad he is not in your life...and that someone else, someone much, much better, [i]is.[/i]

@HijabbaDabbaDoo: its been 4 years... what am i supposed to do? put my life on hold forever? we aren't getting back together - it's not like i haven't asked before. I do love my fiancé. i just have a lot of regret over the last one.
