@Magenta You mean like paying models millions to photograph their bodies - or having them pose in Playboy Magazines - yea, I can see it's all the man's fault.
Like many things, it mostly depends on context and delivery. Like, if the compliment is earnest and good-natured, it's fine and usually appreciated. But if it's being delivered like a creep, or disingenuous, it's very off-putting.
In my opinion, it depends on who the compliment came from. For instance, there are a lot of creepy men on here with bad intentions. That goes for the same in real life. JMHO
Depends. When I was in 7th grade I walked into class and the science teacher said -your legs look very nice today. I said thanks. Looking back now I think sicko.

I wouldn't call it sexist per se but I imagine that some women would not like it in some situations.
