At what point did you start discussing marriage with your partner?

I informed my wife that I was going to marry her about 6 weeks after we began dating.

29 years married next Spring

About twenty years ago. Still waiting.

She said,
What's wrong with this?"

Actually going through with it? 5 + pregnancy tests.

Guess for me having not been in a relationship that lasted longer than 6 months, though I have discussed marriage with previous girlfriends, I would guess you would know if the partner is right so 5-6 months see how it is going?

Mine asked me after two weeks.

you guess divorced, lol in a lonely motel room to sad lovers were discoursing,on the dignity of exile ,and the merits of divorcing .she said all certainty is gone ,and he leapt still denying,said i refuse to believe the flame i lit is dead or even dying . 😕

After a year when we started realizing we wanted to spend more time together and felt living together was the next logical step. That being said, everyone is different with timing.

I did that wrong the first time. What I have learned since would be: When you are already so close in your relationship (mutually), that you already have been married in all ways that matter.

TBH,there is plenty of time when you are finished seeing the world,exploring the planets hidden gems,meeting as many people and cultures as you can,enjoying the life you have been given too the max,so id say about 90 yrs old should do it.
