Online relationship vs meeting someone IRL?

Does anonymity give an edge to letting someone know who you really are? Or is it just a persona?

I’ve had 20+ online relationships (I was/am sex and relationship crazed lol). In my opinion, they can strengthen a relationship. None of my irl relationships were half as strong as my 9 month online relationship with a girl named Claire.
