Would you still be friends with someone who unintentionally broke your heart because they didn't feel the same as you do?!

I used to be in love with a guy who was in love with another girl and we were friends despite that. He didn't break my heart though.

It would be different if the one I loved was in a relationship. I would run away as far as I could and contact him no sooner than I fell out of love and had clear head again.
