How hard is it for you to trust people won't hurt you?

I used to trust unconditionally until proven I shouldn’t. Yeah. That didn’t work out so well. Now I don’t trust anyone. That doesn’t really work out so well either.

I don't think about that. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

And you can't go through life never getting hurt.

I just don't. Not even if I've known them for years. Not sure why that is.

I always expect them to hurt me.

I don't really worry about that unless they give me a reason not to trust them. But an inherent part of getting close to people is taking the risk that you might get hurt.

I don't really meet anyone where i have to put that to the test anymore so i'm not sure.
