Just heard a therapist talking about relationships

In a riport the therapist said if couples are living together or dating for a while then it is really hard for them to quit
Also men can accept if the relationship is not the greatest and stay,while women break up if they are only 70% happy.

Agree?
What would make a man leave then?

I've heard that 70% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

@LyricalOne haha could be!

It might possibly have some validity.

The only thing I know of that makes it easier for a guy to leave is a combination of things that are one of three.

No or crummy sex plus being cheated on.

No intellectual connection plus availability of a better one.

An unrepentant boozer or drug addict for a wife that is so emotionally unstable she physically attacks him in violent ways.

Or any combination of those.

Even the best of them can be forced to leave if things get bad enough

@Girlbehindthecurtain sorry , I was that selfish wife . Nearly cost me everything ...! Luckily he’s an absolute angel and took me back ! 😊 that was 13 years ago ... and we are very happy

@Rubber I did , but coming to terms with the loss of my adoptive parents was a tough one . I redoubled my efforts and I jumped through every hoop he put out there

Personally, I think it's way too general a question to answer, but men leave for the same reason women do. other interests, concentration of job, realization this isn't the perfect relationship, friction, financial stress....

Agreed. And yeah, at least in my limited experience with it all, it's always been the girl leaving; usually because they would've found someone better, in a way or another, I s'pose.
If I treated him the way he has treated me....I think would do it. At least that was the warning I got.

I would not leave
A younger woman. Men leave for “greener pastures” all the time.
@Girlbehindthecurtain She won’t always be.

@bijouxbroussard So do women, sadly.
