why are inlaws so damn mean?

Me and my bf started our own small business. For the first time in months we did very well,I got some pictures and i posted it on instagram. Everyone in his family wished him and congratulated him but nobody wished me. His mum and sister said well done to ____ nobody said anything to me.

He did do alot in the business in the cost department bcos i was unemployed but its my business and i do a hell of alot. This is really hurting me. I dont mind that they wished him but why do u think they did that?

Depending on who the in-laws are and their culture, it's quite possible they had no intention of slighting you. Some folks still believe it's the man who does the business stuff. I'm sorry your feelings wete hurt but try not to dwell on it

NOt sure if there is an ongoing animosity there, but assuming there isn't they just might not have thought about it that way or meant to exclude you.
