I noticed at the mall tonight how much time couples spend on their phone instead of paying attention to each other.

I sat once at a round table with a bunch of friends and collegues where everyone there were texting each other instead of actually talking to one another, it was sad and kind of post-apocalyptic.

What is really sad to me is seeing people out walking their dogs and talking on their phones. That's quality time for a dog and their human isn't paying any attention to them.

It's the same when out to dinner ,I see this a lot and it's very sad

That's just the way things are now. We've grown to crave information. Before it was readily accessible, we were content with what was right in front of us, but now that we have all of mankind's collective knowledge at our fingertips at all time, people have a very difficult time putting it down. We have to know what's going on everywhere with everyone all the time. I think that's only going to become more prominent as time goes on.

I agree with hunkalove,,, people now devote all their time and effort to their cell phones.. I grew up in 60s and 70s and there was no internet back then,,, people actually interacted with each other.. I take the train everyday, and that's all you see people sitting there with their phone glued to their hand with headphones on... does anyone even read the newspaper anymore ? Now the phone reads books to you ,,, we are supposed to move forward,,, and at the rate we're going we'l be back in caveman days.... technology has ruined us !!! quality time please come back !!!!
