I Love A Meaningful Quote

I'm currently reading 'Make Miracles in Forty Days' by Melody Beattie. Within the book, there are several inspirational stories. So far, this book is re-planting seeds of hope in me and I had to share this quote from it:
'I had to choose: life or death. Even without committing suicide, we can will ourselves to die or walk with the living dead. Once I made my choice, I began to consciously grow despite the numbness, anger, rage, and sadness that I felt.'
