[big]New Study Supports Trump: 5.7 Million Noncitizens May Have Cast Illegal Votes[/big]

A research group in New Jersey has taken a fresh look at postelection polling data and concluded that the number of noncitizens voting illegally in U.S. elections is likely far greater than previous estimates.

As many as 5.7 million noncitizens may have voted in the 2008 election, which put Barack Obama in the White House.

The research organization Just Facts, a widely cited, independent think tank led by self-described conservatives and libertarians, revealed its number-crunching in a report on national immigration.

Just Facts President James D. Agresti and his team looked at data from an extensive Harvard/YouGov study that every two years questions a sample size of tens of thousands of voters. Some acknowledge they are noncitizens and are thus ineligible to vote.

Tell me again...How many "Popular" votes did Hilary get?

Here's the problem with articles like these. It's all "may" this and "likely" that - no concrete facts. Almost as bad as the rhetoric from the left claiming collusion between Trump and Russia.

The analyst (James D. Agresti) confirms, as per the article from The Washington Times, that anywhere between "594,000 to 5.7 million" non-citizens may have voted illegally. That's a pretty huge margin of error. He analysed the same data as researchers at Old Dominion University, who arrived at a figure of about 1.2 million - but instead, James D. Agresti applied some mysterious calculations too "complicated" to detail, and somehow arrived at this "594,000 to 5.7 million" figure.

Let's take a look at the sample size that he's extrapolating from. A pool of 32,800 people nationwide, who were asked a series of 100 questions. Of that figure, 339 identified as non-citizens, and of that 339, 39 people claim to have voted. But with a such a small sample, responses may be unreliable. And of those 39, many of those are likely errors; to quote from an open letter submitted in response to these results "response error explains nearly all of the supposed non-citizens ... who voted".

100 political scientists have gone on the record disputing the results of Old Dominion University, basically saying that even a small rate of response errors can greatly impact the conclusions made.

I've linked the letter below which explains why these results cannot be trusted.

Don't get me wrong, one illegal vote cast is too many, but to claim this somehow supports Trump's illogical and unsupported claim that 3.5 million illegals voted is insane.

@TheOrdinaryGuy:

I agree with your logic. But I also think there is a huge amount of fraud in our elections, which is why the democrats refuse to accept photo ID for elections.

Curiously, Obama lost in every state that requires a photo ID to be produced before voting.

A list of closely contested state elections with no voter ID, which narrowly went to Obama include: Minnesota (10), Iowa (6), Wisconsin (10), Nevada (6), Colorado (9), New Mexico (5) and Pennsylvania (20). This amounts to a total of 66 electoral votes. When added to Romney’s total of 205 electoral votes, that would give Romney 271 electoral votes, enough votes to win even without Ohio or Florida.

Their excuses are lame...Hurts the poor or the ignorant. If they can find their way to the polls they can get a photo ID.

Photo Id can be obtained almost anywhere, most any government agency, even retail establishments such as Wall Mart, K Mart, Sears, etc.
