Help please, America-landers: 'Executive Orders' - what weight do they carry, how quickly are they enacted, and have there ever been so many as the last few days?

Executive orders happen all the time
They have the same legal effect as a law
Most are temporary
Most relate to instructions related to executing another law
Executive orders can be reversed by another order.
Most executive orders are never publicized
President Trump is providing transparency ... so we are actually seeing them
The media reports on every sneeze from the white house ... so, we are blessed with extra editorials.
Most of the executive orders this week just reverse executive orders of the prior president.
What is uniguely different, is how these orders have been written ... these have been immediately executable, due to clarity. Normal orders are tributes to the silly world attorneys live in ... they are usually nuianced, vague and confusing to implement.

I think a simple majority can address many.
Most can be revised by just committee ... they are written not to supercede congress, but to be something congress can modify.
President Obama wrote his to bypass congress ... Presidents Trumps have been to reinstate congress's instructions ... the wall, the vetting, the removal of foreign funding for abortion ... those are all congress passed laws that were reestablished.
