[big]President Trump can change this rule[/big]
A rule promulgated by the Office of Personnel Management during the Obama administration that allows members of Congress and their staff to obtain subsidized insurance alongside other Washington, D.C., small businesses.

That rule has been the subject of significant contention for years, with some lawmakers contending that it is an end-run around a provision in the 2010 health law that requires members of Congress to get their health coverage like other Americans. Lawmakers and their aides get a hefty subsidy from their employer—Congress—when they buy coverage through the D.C. online insurance exchange, which critics contend is unique to them. Defenders of the rule argue that the provision was never intended to force members of Congress or their aides to lose the employer-sponsored health benefits that many people get on the job.

i read in the paper this sunday that congress is on the gold plan of obamacare. wonder if that is wrong? if not, they should be.

@akindheart There is so much bs coming out of the media you really can't trust anything they say unless you hear someone say something with your own ears. I was under the impression that because of John Boehner (the crying one) congress was to have obamacare but the dems didn't want it for them so obama had his HHS secy give them a waiver. Who knows?

@katielass i should know better Katie to have believed what I read. it was embedded in a really sad story about a lady who has an aggressive brain cancer and what he was going thru under obamacare...and they mentioned he had the same plan as Congress...sickening.

@akindheart I don't know what to believe. All I know is I don't trust the media at all and congress is not far up on my shit list.

@katielass very true. i follow you, texchic and Abrienda because i know you have the latest and most truthful news of the political scene. as for Congress and the media, they have sunk to a new low. BUT have you seen the DOW? record breaking highs!

@akindheart Yes, the first time to break 22,000. Consumer confidence is way up for first time in 8-9 years. Businesses are hiring again. Why, even the Justice dept. is hiring. Did you hear what the nyt did. The justice dept placed an ad looking for someone to investigate discrimination of Asian- Americans in higher education and the nyt told a big whopper saying the administration was tring to get rid of affirmative action. They just out and out lied there. Of course that's nothing new for them.

well it seems down here a certain minority padded thevoting box with absentee ballots. and what doyou know? all 3 candidates won DESPITE the voters telling officials they didn't sign them...not of their doing...and yet theya re in office.
katielass · F
@akindheart omg that is too funny. And we thought it was funny when counties have more votes than there are people living in the county. Not voting aged people, all people.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@katielass now our fraud unit has imposed that all absentee ballots moving forward must have drivers license...yet they stay in office now.

@akindheart Oh you know the left will object to any measure to make sure our elections are honest and valid. Unless they lose a big race and want to delegitimize the winner by claiming someone meddled. But I guess when you're the party with the long history of voting fraud, you tend to take that stance.
