I Hate It When Someone Messages Me And Say Hey Or Hi

I cant stand small talk in real life. Never mind the internet. If your opening message is "Hi", "Hey", "Hello" etc. then chances are I will not reply. Not because i'm mean but because I literally get about 20 messages a day from people I've never spoken to before saying the same thing. I just WISH that they would spend that extra 30 seconds to come up with something eye catching that would give me an idea whether I do or don't want to talk to them or tell me what they saw on my profile that was of interest to them. Its not much to ask

I so agree! It's typically men that do this to me. They see my picture and want to chat me up. I don't mind talking and I really hate having to say this. But if you don't know me, read a few of my posts (especially my featured post) and then introduce yourself with something we may have in common or even controversial. I think it looks like your just hitting on me when you messages aren't even complete sentences. Hi is something you say to a friend from across the room. Or to a stranger as you get on a bus.

I know right. Not much to ask

I think the only thing they are asking for is for you to do all the work. I'm mean yeah I have a bubbly personality, and love chatting. But not if he can't do more then sit and wait for my stories. Cause he's probably doing something else with his hands. ;)

I actually started playing one word answers with one guy. On the third answer he asks, are you marrieds? Can you give me your phone number?! My answer to that was one word. BLOCK heehe

I also cant stand the machine gun of questions with no return answers. Like they are trying to get their order right. Or when they respond with just "nice". Comes off so sleazy.

I guess it's their lack of social interactions with human beings. And yes, it does make me feel like I'm a fast food menu! Of course I do blame society. This phrase "boys will be boys." Is part of the problem. If we don't expect better then they aren't going to give better.
