I Want To Live My American Dream

I think it's freedom that everyone is after. True freedom. Not this nine to five illusion that has been prepared for us, by men who wear more expensive ties. How tragic and unfortunate that a singular trajectory has been laid out before most of us. Through the school years we are taught to stand in line and cross our arms. It's no wonder by the time we reach our rebellious years, we are quick to poison ourselves and do wild wondrous things. Further we fall into the maze of lies. The web concocted for us. Further education. Further debt. Stay in line and follow the leader. They slowly drive the wild sexual debauchery from your midnight parties. Sobriety offers a reality that gives nothing back to all the years you put in. The shaking of fists and the wild incoherent rambling is replaced with blank stares and lowered heads. Your desire to stand on your feet has been replaced with an obligation to live on your knees, and another dream dies.
