I Think That Some People Are Amazing
I feel compelled to write a little something about my friend.
She often brings a sparkly ray of light to this little corner of the internet by posting a picture. A selfie. Always beautiful, always classy, sometimes sexy -- little glimpses of things, large and small, in her world. She truly is a very lovely woman and these posts are invariably appreciated.
They elicit a range of comments -- most usually respectful, kind, complimentary, maybe gently flirty -- the sort of comments that build her up, give her reason to smile -- but unfortunately, occasionally, some push the edge of what is appropriate. She notices.
What many people do not see is the real beauty of the woman behind those pictures. She is an incredibly deep soul. She has one of the most beautiful hearts I have ever known. She loves, and loves deeply. She gives freely of herself, her energy and time, often at a cost. She understands human weakness and failure. She cares about those around her. She truly feels their pain. People see that she is beautiful on the outside -- that is obvious -- but only a fortunate few understand that she is infinitely more beautiful on the inside.
Oh... if you only knew...
