Just a question-

I neither know nor care where you stand politically and that information is irrelevant here so leave it at home.

People are panic buying, but companies haven't stopped producing toilet paper, soup, etc.

Do you think the grocery store will look normal in a week or two?

Unprecedented times. Who knows.

TYVM. I think anyone claiming to know what is going to happen is fooling themselves. @jackjjackson

@jackjjackson Damned straight.

I don't know. I drove through the parking lot today of my grocer. I didn't need anything but it was a short cut to get to where I needed to be. Not one parking space available, and it's a Monday. People are still panic buying.

Might take a little longer, but eventually they will stabilize. Even now things are flying off the shelf as soon as they're put out.

@raysam363 Yeah, but it's stupid shit. "Water". Do they think there will be no water?!
raysam363 · 31-35, F
@xixgun They way some stores looked, people are literally just grabbing anything consumable and tossing it in carts. Someone's gonna be eating mac and cheese for a year.

they have started to ration in the stores near me, so that'll put a limit to how much people can buy. Also there are price gouging charges being brought against people who resell the toilet papers

I think it will return to normal but maybe a bit longer than a week or two. In a week or two, we're going to start seeing the first floods of ill people go to hospital, and pretty stark stories and images of people dying unattended, people waiting for care while the person next to them dies.

The public is going to go into full panic mode at that point, but in the background, goods will still being produced. After the public understand the horror of this thing (not just that they may fall a little ill for 2 weeks but that tens of thousands and possibly more are going to die) and have finished panic buying, shelves will be full again

@plungesponge That doesn't scare me, as I've already seen it.

Go to the VA and there you are

I think in the next few weeks yes, once people realize they have more than enough for a few weeks

I think the panic buying will taper and in a few truck cycles get back to normal, yes.

It shouldn’t take too long for the stores to be back to normal

I hope so. We didn’t panic buy - and now I hope the stores will have what we need when we run out.

If we run out of TP, I’ll ask the neighbors to loan me a roll. Somebody among my neighbors must have panic-bought. That’s where all the toilet paper is....at their house.

👀 I think it's the perfect time to pull a prank or two..

@xixgun lol I wouldn't even be around for it. 🤷‍♀️

I think it will take a few months.
