Yes I believe it will be.
The timing of this is suspect and a bit uncanny and yet it may be circumstance. Why is renovation taking place Holy Week when a lot of events for the Cathedral were planned?
I guess it may come to symbolize what Good Friday and Easter do. The end of one life and the beginning of another. (in terms of a structure)

Yes. It's been rebuilt many times in the past.
