How do you deal with your parent's infidelity?

It could be that you saw your mom or dad cheating.
SW-User
I didn't deal with it very well, because my dad tricked me into being an accomplice. I was 14 when this happened. He told me (and my stepmom) that we were going "night fishing". We loaded up his truck with the gear, but then he drove to some woman's apartment and made me sit in the truck the rest of the night. When we came home, he made me walk through my younger sister's wading pool, so I'd have wet shoes and pant legs. I carried that weight around for a couple of months before their marriage mercifully disintegrated and ended. In the meantime, I started drinking as just a way to cope. Not exactly "father of the year" material.

@SW-User I'm sorry to hear that. I understand that feeling very well.

I never know how to react when it comes about this. My mom always angry to my dad when I was young. I never understand that. Now, I do and I feel so irritated thinking about that. Always.

I keep doing normal. I don't wanna lose my sanity.

I never see it because my dad good keeping his secret, he ain't bring that h*** into my house.

I feel bad for my mom. She was a decent lady.

@Quicksilver87 yes. My mom is exactly like that. I used to scold my mom for ill treating my dad but... now I can see why. I put my dad the top of my list. My priority. Now I'm just so confused.

@Darkmare It is confusing..

It makes me an ass**** person..

My mom keeps every pieces together but after she died, my fanily torn apart.
He makes me disgusting as a man.

Sometimes I'm okay with him, sometimes I don't. Depends on how his behavior. .

I think relationships are complex and unless we know everything about a relationship it is hard to judge. That being said cheating unless expressly permitted means you are avoiding expressing something in a relationship. One of us are perfect and we should remember that in judging others.

That unfortunately isn't a cut and dry answer. I thought it was until I was in that situation.
