Yes, I went every summer when growing up. We did everything from the usual archery, canoeing, rafting, to clinics on tennis, riding instruction, some arts and crafts at times (rainy days), etc. Overall, it was not a bad experience, though it could be tedious with the same people.

@Jackaloftheazuresand Just basics of what to do in case of an emergency, nothing like wilderness survival as one would have in the military. How to find a compass direction if lost in the woods, how to mark a trail, etc. It was used more for going on hikes and those team-building competitions of one team versus another on a scavenger hunt or some other task.

Sitting at the camp fire with the rest of the crowd, when a large red ant clamped onto my scrotum. At 9 years old it was a difficult walk to the restroom so that I could find out what the hell was going on.
