I Support The Police
I seriously don't get this anti-police crap or this hatred towards the police.
Not every cop is out to kill people, but people are so quick to buy into what the liberal media has to say about the police.
You ever think that a lot of these people portrayed as victims of police brutality on TV by the liberal media shouldn't have been going around breaking the law and committing crimes instead of charging at cops and trying to take their guns?
Not every cop is some racist out to shoot black people either. I've met and conversed with many police officers, some black, some white, some Hispanic, etc, and none of them ever had an issue with me and vise versa, I treat them with respect because of the hard work they do and all of the hard work they put forth to get that badge and uniform that they wear everyday when they go to work.
Seriously, we are NOT a police state, nor is the United States turning into a totalitarian or authoritarian state either.
What a lot of people realize is that had it not been for the police, you'd have no one to protect you from thugs or criminals, and no one to help you when your house gets burglarized and/or vandalized.
I don't care about weaponry and I certainly don't want to ever have to use them, all I care about is helping others in need.
Oh, and speaking of weaponry, everyone always brings up the topic of police militarization.
You realize you'll only see that in S.W.A.T teams, right? Unless you want S.W.A.T teams to not exist anymore, but what's the benefit in that? The next high intensity situation that occurs, and S.W.A.T isn't around anymore, the police won't be there, the military will, and no offense to anyone who's in the military, but the military is a LOT more rogue than the police considering these guys fight in wars.
They usually don't carry flash grenades and they don't carry tasers and are more than likely to kill than a S.W.A.T officer would since the military isn't trained for situations that S.W.A.T is, though, I will admit, some of the camouflaged uniforms some police departments have their S.W.A.T officers wear is a little ridiculous considering that there's no need for army camo when they're more than likely raiding a house.
Martial Law isn't fun, and neither is a military state considering a lot of people love complaining about a police state, and Martial Law and military states are usually what happens when high intensity situations occur that are too much for the police to handle and when S.W.A.T isn't there.
Being a police officer is one of the most selfless jobs you can get, and the reason I want to be one some day is because I have a burning desire to want to help the community. Being a cop isn't just chilling in a patrol car or a donut shop and scarfing down donuts and coffee all day, and getting that badge and uniform certainly is not an easy task either.
And hey, while donuts and coffee sound cool, anyone can get a damn donut and a cup of coffee at Starbucks, 7-Eleven or Dunkin' Donuts, and hey, I'm trying to stay thin and in shape as well.
