I Like To Review Movies

[c=#7700B2]Honestly when I did the first one of these I did not expect anyone to really read it nor care for it but it now seems to get requested for me to do this often here and I am truly flattered people seem to want my opinion on movies.. So as the people pleaser I am, here is a new one.. As always if you don't care for these, just scroll past. I know these things are not for everyone..

anyway the movie I have picked is

Let Me In

Genre: Horror

Release year: 2010

Director: Matt Reeves

Staring: Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloë Grace Moretz

Plot: The film tells the story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who develops a friendship with a female child vampire in Los Alamos, New Mexico in the early 1980s

My Thoughts: I love this movie. It has a dark grimy feel to it and as far as vampire movies go, this one is unique and everything Twilight wishes it could be. A boy who is bullied at school and is on his own most of the time at home ends up meeting a girl who isn't what she first seems to be. They strike up a friendship and for me I couldn't stop watching and wish the movie never ended.
So without giving anything away I wont write much more. I went in the first time just knowing hardly anything about it and so glad I did. I wish more movies were made like this. It has at times almost the same type of vibe from one of my other favourite movies (Ginger Snaps) and that I think is the highest compliment I could give a horror movie.

so for all that I will rate this movie

That's not a girl. It was a boy and the book is about pedophilia and contains an absolutely gross genitalia mutilation scene. That book is one of the rawest and boldest things I read.
It's a very interesting story and I liked it but I still wonder what's this author problem because seriously...wtf?
Oops, I suppose I shoulda vetted my source lol! @CrazyMusicLover

@PlumBerries I haven't seen the remake so I don't know what was it like but original movie was very sweet. Then I read a book...omg 😱 I had to imagine Eli as much older to get through the story. It was just too much. I have it in pdf form.

[c=#7700B2]the movie was sweet at times and brutal other times. Nothing about pedophilia though so that was good[/c]

I agree it has a similar vibe to Ginger Snaps, though Ginger Snaps is not a favourite of mine. Did you watch the original that this is a remake of? It's even creepier and the better film, in my opinion!
