I'm Just Me, It's All I Know How to Be

I've had to learn to do things on my own. Tying my shoes to riding a bike to driving a car to handling my taxes. Then theres socializing and that's a tough thing to learn. I feel like I'm still trying to figure that out, though I'm better with it nowadays than I had been. Not fitting in doesn't hurt me the way it had when I was a kid. I've learned that I have got to be comfortable with my own company. I'm not 100% but I'm just about there.

I really am a difficult person. Even I have trouble with myself at times. I just can't ditch like other people can ditch me. (good riddance good riddance good riddance!) I can change what I won't tolerate from myself but at my core, I'm still a difficult person. You can't change who you are at the core. You can "learn" to be someone else, but you'd still be you at the core.

That's okay. I've never been a fan of therapists.

What I'm trying to say is we don't have a choice really. =]
