I Easily Feel Guilty

I’ve felt guilty telling someone the price of their medication. One incident which made me feel the worst involved immunosuppressant.. Because I had to run the prescription through his insurance and for some reason it was relatively cheaper at our pharmacy and he sounded surprised and glad, like he had been looking around for a while. And I felt accomplished for once. A few days after I filled it he called and asked to reverse the fill for some reason. And I got a feeling that I shouldn’t but I did. He showed up a few days after that and asked if we could redo it because something came up, and I did. It was after the end of the year, his insurance change or was gone. For the original price he could get 6 boxes of the drug. The new price was way higher for only 1 box. I had to ask my pharmacist to go tell him the situation. I over heard him and he sounded kinda disappointed but accepted the situation with a grace. He left without buying. Didn’t see him again and I don’t think we’ve got a call for a transfer before my store went out of business. I hoped he was okay, and I always felt bad for reversing the billing.
