A co-worker whom I do not like and probably doesn't like me introduced me to a new associate as they were in passing. I can bet my bottom dollar that that person told the new associate not to talk to me, or that I'm mean, stuckup and whatever else...

@iamnikki It was clear to me early on that I wanted to freelance/run my own business. It was some hard work to get there, though,but I don't regret it.

@Uncle That's how I feel. I've worked since 16. Screwed over many times at each job. I feel like I don't want to work for someone but I don't know what to do.

@iamnikki Well, if you can, you might try out freelancing. It is not an easy thing to do, though. I admit I was lucky a few times, and having a wife with a steady income also helped a lot. Anyway, if I can help you in any way, let me know. :)
