Why do people let their dog bark for like half an hour straight?

Maybe I’m spoiled, my cutie rarely barks. The neighbor’s dog just goes at it all the time. He spends a lot of time outside 😢 What’s he barking at? Is he asking to come back inside?

(sounds like a “he” anyway)

(I mean it’s just a deep baritone kind of bark)

It's terrible there isn't some sort of law that protect neighbors from inconsideration. There's a place I occasionally visit that is next to a house with 4 German Shepards. They bark from the time I arrive till the time I leave. I've been there sporadically over the past 5 years - and I always think..."poor neighbors have to listen to that"

Poor thing is neglected. Dogs are pack animals and they want to be with their pack. One day my neighbor saw me walking my dog, they were shocked as they had no idea I had a dog. She goes out to do her business then right back in so we can be together.

OMG....I have the same issue with my neighbors.

Their dog barks nonstop for hours....they even left him out in the rains ...in a little made-up tent ..in the freezing cold in Jan.

Whereas my dog rarely barks. I feel sorry for that neighbors dog. Then they keep changing dogs every few months. I don't know where they give their dog...blah blah blah....so I don't interfere much.

I KNOW?! 😠This lady across this chain link fence has 3 of them that bark non stop while trying to talk to her! I finally held my hands up and told her I couldn't stand it anymore and walked away. Finally, the guy next door put up a really tall wooden fence...[i][b]woo hoo! ⭐️[/b][/i]

what is wrong with people!?

I realized yesterday that I can actually see this dog from an upstairs window - it starts when it gets dark. he’s barking at the back door, wagging his tail, for literally 20 minutes, I presume he’s asking to be let in after being in the backyard all day. 😢@Peaches 3 dogs would make me lose my mind

@Fallflower That dog sounds like it may be neglected, that's sad. We knew someone that did that to their dog too. If they don't want the dog they should give it to someone.😔🐶 I like dogs if they are well behaved.🙂

guess what, today the whole family was playing outside in the front, with their dog barking away in the back. I’m out there all the time walking my dog, and I’ve never once seen them walk theirs. so you are correct sir. @Thatsright
