I Love My Niece

I love my niece dearly, and I knew it was just a matter of time, but when the boy in class gives her a bracelet and necklace and she starts talking about boys. My nephew, her little brother, starts teasing her about boys, saying it is all she talks about. Then you see her starting to learn how to flirt, and you do a double take when you see her, just because you can't believe it was her... I am soooo not ready for this. I know it is just starting, and it is just going to increase but man, this crap has to stop... lol.

If I am this bad about my niece how am I going to be when I have my own daughter, if I do have my own daughter, that is.

I think the thought of her being single going out on dates while I am still out there single and going on dates kind of weirds me out too... I better hurry up and get hitched before they start letting her date

LOL... I took my mom to the airport when we were on a trip to Florida. Her flight was about 8 hours before mine so I figured I would go spend a few extra minutes with her before she left. While we were standing in line she started talking to this guy in front of us and he mentioned he had a daughter. She went on and on about how she needed to get me married off. He told her that his daughter was married and pregnant, she said so... does she have any friends for him. I was thoroughly embarassed.

LOL, my grandfather once came to the restaurant I worked at the time and told the girls I worked with that he wanted a great grandson and proceeded to ask every girl I worked with if they wanted to date his grandson... LOL!

I remember him telling me, I was the last one in the line and all he wanted to see is a great grandson before he dies. Didn't happen, he passed away. I do feel bad about it.
