We need to actively claim our rights, others will impose duties us without any action on our part. Therefore we owe it to ourselves to give priority to our rights.

@SW-User How often are you granted a right without asking? How often are you excused a duty, whether or not you ask to be excused?

@suzie1960 Its my mindset. I did write about priorities here. I prioritise dities brfote rights because my parents had no rights and worked theior butts off so I can enjoy my rights now. I have a predisposition towards hard work, sacrifice, abnegation and per default i think of DUTIES.

@SW-User So your parents fought or worked for your rights. In other words, they claimed rights, they weren't just granted them. I see hard word etc. as a means to an end. Perhaps a duty to myself and my family but not a duty per se.
